This is to help everyone through the amendment process to remove the training limitation from their operating limitations and expiration date on their airworthiness certificate. Whether you send the documents to me or go to an FAA FSDO in person you will need the following:

1. A  properly filled out form  8130-6.  A fillable version can be found here:  8130-6     Don't check anything on line 9, that is for Specials not Experimentals.   Make sure you update the total airframe hours to the current time.  "Total Airframe Time" will include the time before ELSA certification and "Experimental Only" is the time from when you got the first ELSA inspection.   Also make sure you fill out the top as it appears on your registration certificate.  In section II check "Experimental", "Operationg Light Sport" and 8A "Existing aircraft without an airworthiness certificateand do not meet part 103".  You can only fill out and print the form not save it.
   
   
2. A program letter where you can fill in the address of your FSDO and the date here:    Program Letter  You can only fill out and print the form not save it.

3. You will need your AIRCRAFT LOGBOOK, the old AIRWORTHINESS CERTIFICATE and OPERATING LIMITATIONS.
