I offer Certified Flight Training in a new Special Light Sport North Wing Scout
X-C. This is North Wings new 912 model aircraft. For
safety it is equipped with dual controls, VHF com radio, ATC transponder,
collision avoidance system and Ballistic parachute recovery system. I fly
from a grass airpark about 10 miles east of Tacoma.
I am a retired airline pilot with 22,000 hours of flying that enjoys sharing my passion for flight with
others. I can train you from zero time to sport pilot or to the more
advanced private pilot level. My aircraft and I are fully qualified and
equipped for night flight as well. Sport pilot and light sport aircraft
remain the most inexpensive and fun way to learn how to fly.

Flights
Introductory flight lesson: This is a short flight of about 20 minutes
of sitting in the back circling the airpark. I explain what is going on
and give a demonstration of the flying characteristics of the aircraft.
Also included is a logbook with the time certified by your instructor.
Cost : $44.95 fuel included.
Discovery flight lesson: This is a little longer flight of about 35
minutes. I take you farther from the airport and give you more detail in
explaining flying the aircraft. You will get an opportunity, weather and
wing permitting, to fly from the back seat. It is also a great flight to
take a few pictures of the area. Also included is a logbook with the time
certified by your instructor.

All In flight lesson: This is the full hour flight lesson.
We explore all the capabilities of the aircraft from and you get to fly a
considerable amount of time. There will also be time for you to take
pictures and enjoy the beautiful views of Mt Rainier and the foothills.
This is an incredible flight and you will receive a logbook with the time
certified by your instructor.

Evening of Flight: This is a great way to celebrate birthdays,
anniversaries or special events. It is an entire evening dedicated just to
you or your group to as many people that want to fly for one price. We
have a deck overlooking the runway with Mt Rainier in the
background. A fire pit, barbeque and comfortable deck chairs are on
hand for those relaxing before and after the air time.
